MUX Construction is a family owned construction company serving Sioux Falls and the surrounding communities, built on more than 20 years of experience, hard work, and a genuine passion for building quality homes. After coming to the United States from Bosnia in the early 2000s with very little, owner Muhamed built his career and eventually MUX Construction from the ground up. What started with years of hands on experience has grown into a family business focused primarily on new construction, including spec homes and custom builds, as well as basement finishes and remodeling projects.
Today, that family approach remains at the heart of MUX Construction. Muhamed works alongside his son in law, while his daughter brings real estate and design into the building process, giving clients a team that can help with much more than construction alone. Every project is approached with attention to detail, open communication, and the belief that building a home should feel personal. Whether creating a custom home from the ground up, finding the right new construction home, or transforming an existing space, the MUX team wants every client to feel connected to the process and confident in the people behind their home.

Originally from Bosnia, Muhamed brings more than 20 years of construction experience, craftsmanship, and hands on knowledge to MUX Construction. As the owner and builder, he takes an active role in every project and believes that quality is found in the details. Over the years, his experience has grown from hands on construction to building and remodeling homes with a focus on functionality, lasting quality, and thoughtful craftsmanship. For Muhamed, MUX Construction is more than a business. It’s a family driven company built on hard work, trust, and pride in creating homes that families can enjoy for years to come.

Damir Bektic
With over 10 years of hands-on construction experience, Damir brings skill, versatility, and attention to detail to every project. His experience spans a wide range of work, including tile installation, cabinetry, trim and finish work, decking, remodeling, and more. With a hands-on role throughout the construction process, he takes pride in quality craftsmanship and making sure every detail comes together the right way.
DESIGNER + REALTOR
Lejla Bektic
Lejla serves as the Realtor and Designer for MUX Construction, bringing together her experience in real estate with her passion for home design. She works closely with the MUX Construction team throughout the building process, helping with floor plans, finishes, fixtures, and design selections to create homes that are both beautiful and functional. On the real estate side, Lejla helps clients navigate the buying and selling process, providing support from the beginning stages of building through closing. Her goal is to create thoughtfully designed homes while making the entire experience feel seamless and personal for each client.
